Well, this is our last tour day, in the morning we will be returning to Indianapolis. This was also our most exciting day, and I'll have lots more to put here as I finish collecting it all, but here's a sample of the day.
The Big Event was our participation in the 30 year anniversary of the Apollo XI Moon landing, in 1969 the band was attending the Jamboree in Faragut Idaho, four of the boys from that band are on tour this year, Bill Schofield, Pete Lindstrom, Howard Foster and Tom O'Nan. Boy's Life was here to capture some of this event.......
Here's the gang in their finest.....
We were supposed to play a 20 minute concert, but this ended up at nearly an hour and a half, we had a wonderful crowd to play for and afterwards we learned that the President of NASA was also attending and were told that he was pleased with our performance, and really great compliment.
It was a great honor for us to be able to perform at this event, specially
for the four of us who were there at the beginning!
This picture really says it all for me, Buzz Aldren (center with the
Eagle), Gene Cernan (right) an American Eagle and the Flags! (I'll
find out who else was in this picture, I know who he is, but tonight I
can't remember, it was a long day).
Well, this HAS been a great tour, we are now on our way home, we've stopped in Atlanta GA for the night and will be leaving for Indianapolis early in the morning. I hope you enjoyed seeing our tour here on the web as much as I've enjoyed providing it to you!
