Today, we went to church, then we got lost in North Dakota, but
we did get to see Flasher
North Dakota and some interesting terrain, Bill even saw a road
runner!
We passed through the Standing Rock Indian Reservation on the way.
We played probably the HOTTEST concert that the Band has ever played,
(well over 100 degrees)
at the Badlands amphitheater, at Badlands National Park, Cedar
Pass Visitor's Center.
We visited the famous Wall Drugstore in Wall SD and set up base
at Ellsworth AFB
in Rapid City SD.
Our views of the Badlands, this was a very beautiful place!
Our views of the Badlands
Here we are during our concert at the Badlands amphitheater, the
crowd stayed under what little
shade was available. This was probably the hottest concert
we've ever given! The temperature was well over 100 degrees.
We did a full concert, and went on to cooler climates.
Everywhere you go around here, you will see these signs for the
Wall Drug Store in Wall, SD.
This one is the oldest type as this was what initially drew people
to the store.
The store is now quite famous, and takes up an entire city block!
So naturally we had to go there and get some of that free Ice Water!
But only a few of us found the special place where it was served.
Charlie Dickson being one of the lucky few!
That's it for today, there will be more soon.
